Thai betta can be cold-resistant. Although they are tropical fish, the acceptable temperature range is still relatively wide. As long as the water temperature is between 18-32 ℃, they can survive normally. Although they can accept a low temperature of 18 ℃, it is not recommended for breeders to breed them with too low water temperature. Because the water temperature is too low, their appetite and activity will decrease, and their physique will deteriorate under the long-term low temperature environment. Some Thai betta fish with poor physique may get sick or die. If breeders want to make their lives comfortable, it is best to use heating rods to keep the water temperature between 22-24 ℃.
2. Will Thai betta fish freeze to death in winterWhether Thai betta fish will freeze to death in winter depends on the area where they live. If they live in the south of China, they will not freeze to death in general. Because the temperature in most parts of the south will not be very low in winter, if breeders move them indoors again, they will not freeze to death even if they are not heated.
If they live in the north, they will freeze to death without heating in winter. Because the temperature in northern winter is relatively low, and the temperature difference between morning and evening is relatively large, if they are put outdoors, the probability of freezing to death will be relatively high. To raise Thai betta fish in the north, we must first transfer them indoors. If there is heating in the room, we can not use heating rods. If there is no heating, you need to install heating rods to keep the water temperature constant.
