The life span of the mandrake is about three years. If raised at home, the life span may be between 2-3 years, generally not more than 3 years. But if it can be provided with a better living environment, it may also live for more than three years.
Adult mandrake can generally grow to a length of about 10-15 cm. Its body length is related to its sex, generally speaking, the male fish will grow longer than the female fish, but not too much difference.
1. Water: If you want the mandrake to grow better, grow longer, and live longer, you should use better quality water to raise it and provide it with a better living environment. Aquaculture water should be clean enough, and the temperature of water should be controlled between 22-28 C. In winter, special attention should be paid to keeping warm and not letting the water temperature below 18 degrees Celsius. If necessary, a heating rod can be installed to maintain the water temperature.
2. Feeding: If you want the fish to grow better, you should also pay attention to feeding in time to provide the nutrients they need for growth. It is suggested to choose live bait, such as small red worms, nematodes and so on. The frequency of feeding can be controlled to once every 1-2 days. When feeding, we should pay attention to controlling the amount of feeding, not too much. The specific feeding amount control can allow the fish to eat the feed within ten minutes after feeding.
