Anchovies grow up about 3-6 months after birth, and their growth speed is relatively fast compared with other fish. Anchovies belong to small tropical fish, and their body length is about 4-8 cm in adulthood. Anchovies of different genders have different body lengths in adulthood. For anchovies growing in the same environment, the female fish will be larger, and the body length in adulthood will be 6-8 cm. The size of male fish is smaller, and the length of adult fish is about 4-6 cm. Of course, there are some properly raised ones, which can grow to more than 8 cm, but the longest one will not exceed 10 cm.

Although female fish are large in size, their ornamental value is not strong. Because their patterns and colors are relatively simple, and their tails are not big. Male fish have bright colors and many kinds of patterns, so they will be more ornamental.
