The life span of apple snails is not long, and they can live for 1-4 years when they are cultured artificially. How long it lives depends largely on the temperature at which it is raised. In higher temperature water, they are more active and easy to reproduce, but their life span will be shorter. In colder water, they are less active and less likely to reproduce, but they live longer.
Under normal circumstances, it takes about four months for the apple snail to breed from birth. But in practice, if the water temperature and environmental conditions are suitable, they may breed earlier. If the purchased snail is an adult, it only needs about 15-20 days to adapt to the environment after entering the tank, and then it can be reproduced.
If you want apple snails to reproduce, you should pay attention to controlling the water temperature between 20 and 28 degrees Celsius. The higher the temperature, the easier and more frequent they will reproduce. If the temperature is very low, their reproductive frequency will be very low. If the temperature is particularly low, below 18 degrees Celsius, they will basically not reproduce. In addition, if they want to reproduce, they should maintain good water quality and provide them with sufficient food to ensure nutritional supply. If the water quality is too poor or the nutrition is poor, they will not reproduce.
