Betta fish can reproduce 4-5 days after small fish hatch, and they can reproduce more than ten times a year as long as the environment is comfortable. Compared with other fish, the breeding frequency and speed are relatively fast. However, it is not recommended to let betta fish produce too frequently, because this will not only affect their bodies, but also affect the quantity and quality of reproduction, and even shorten their life span. Therefore, it is best for breeders to let them breed once a month, not more than four times a year at most. Give them enough time and energy to recover.
2. How to hatch after breedingAfter breeding, the female fish will not protect their eggs, so after their production is completed, the breeder needs to fish out the female fish to prevent them from eating their eggs. Male betta fish have the habit of taking care of fish eggs. After insemination, they will put the eggs one by one into the built bubble nest and wait for the small fish to hatch. During hatching, male fish will constantly flap their fins to provide sufficient oxygen for their eggs. If the bubble nest breaks, they will come forward to repair it.
During hatching, breeders need to keep the water temperature between 26-27 ℃ and ensure that the water quality is clean and refreshing. After about 2 days, betta fish can hatch successfully. At this time, the male fish can be fished out to prevent them from sending the hatched small fish back to the nest.
