Egg turtles look at male and female, which are similar to other turtles. They all turn over to look at abdominal armour. The depressed abdominal armour is male and the flat one is female. In addition, we can also look at the position of its drainage hole. Generally, the male is at the edge of the outer side of the carapace and the female is at the inner side. Mature male turtles have scales at the tip of their tails, while female turtles do not. In addition, some male turtles have patched scales on their limbs, and neither do female turtles.
2. How do egg turtles reproduce1. Select parent turtles: Before breeding, breeders need to select mature egg turtles. The requirements for selection are large individuals, strong bodies and no defects in appearance. In order to improve the spawning and fertilization rates, parent turtles are also required to mature well. After selection, female turtles and male turtles can be put in according to the ratio of 2: 1.
2. Mating and reproduction: During reproduction, the male turtle will climb onto the back of the female turtle, grab the neck of the female turtle with its forelimbs, and then put the genitals into the release hole of the female turtle to complete mating. Most of the mating of egg turtles is carried out in water. After successful mating, they will lay eggs in November of each year or April of the following year, and spawning will take place at night and end before Leon Lai Ming.
3. Egg laying and hatching: After egg turtles lay eggs, the breeder needs to take out the eggs in time, put them in an incubator, wait for 3-4 days, and confirm that the eggs are fertilized before hatching.
