Egg turtles eat meat best, and then they can eat some commercial turtle food. There are many kinds of egg turtles. Generally, those with raised and smooth backs are called egg turtles. Common varieties include Salvin Dome, Mexican Dome, Red-faced Egg Turtle, White-lipped Egg Turtle, Eagle-billed Mud Turtle, Yellow Mud Turtle, Giant Musk Turtle and so on. It should be noted that although they are all called egg turtles, there are some differences in feeding methods because the varieties they span are relatively large.

1. Feed selection: To feed turtles, we must choose the right feed first. For young turtles, most of them like to eat meat, so they should feed some fish and shrimp, buy fresh ones, and remove fish bones and shrimp heads to prevent scratching their stomach. When turtles grow up, they need to feed meat, eat vegetables to supplement nutrition, and regularly add calcium powder to food.

2. Feeding method: Since most ornamental turtles are water turtles, they need to throw food into water before they can eat it, but they don't eat it when feeding on land. If the food is too big, you need to cut it with scissors to make sure it can be eaten. Young turtles are fed once a day, and adult turtles can be fed once every two or three days.

3. Precautions: After feeding the turtle every time, it is necessary to clean up the food residue in time, otherwise it is easy to break the water. Once the water quality goes wrong, the turtle may get sick.
