Although the size of the star-point turtle itself is not too large, its active degree is still relatively high, so it is necessary to prepare a large enough space. Furthermore, the combination of water and land is needed in space, with water accounting for about 70% and land accounting for 30%.
2. Controlling the water temperatureThe star-spotted turtle has certain cold resistance, but considering that the water temperature will affect the growth rate of the star-spotted turtle, it is better to keep the water temperature in an appropriate range. Specifically, it is ok between 19-28 ℃. In winter, they can go into hibernation naturally without heating.
3. Maintain water qualityThe water quality of star-spotted turtles is still relatively high, and they are suitable for living in weakly alkaline water. If the water quality is unstable, it is easy to cause them to have rotten armor. Therefore, we should pay a little attention when preparing aquaculture water, and change water regularly to improve the water environment.
IV. Feed regularlyStar-spotted turtles are omnivorous, but they prefer meat. Therefore, they can usually be fed more meat foods that they are interested in, such as small fish, river shrimp, crickets, earthworms, snails and so on. If you breed in your family, you can also feed some fruits and vegetables at the same time.
