The star-spotted turtle is not a very easy-to-raise turtle. It has certain requirements for the environment, so we should pay attention to changing water at ordinary times and keep the water clean and sanitary, otherwise we may get skin rot. In addition, attention should be paid to the water temperature. Usually, the temperature should be around 20 ℃, unless it is hibernating, the temperature can be lower. In the daily feeding process, we should also pay attention to feeding and cleaning, and clean up the unfinished food and its feces in time.

1. Container: Although the star turtle itself is not too big, its active degree is still relatively high, so it is necessary to prepare a large enough space. Furthermore, the combination of water and land is needed in space, with water accounting for about 70% and land accounting for 30%.

2. Water temperature: The star turtle has certain cold resistance, but considering that the water temperature will affect the growth rate of the star turtle, it is better to keep the water temperature in an appropriate range. Specifically, it is ok between 19-28 ℃. In winter, they can go into hibernation naturally without heating.

3. Feeding: Star turtles are omnivorous, but they prefer meat. Therefore, they can usually be fed more meat foods that they are interested in, such as small fish, river shrimp, crickets, earthworms, snails and so on. If you breed in your family, you can also feed some fruits and vegetables at the same time.
