Tortoises cannot be raised dry. Generally raised turtles are water turtles, which need to be soaked in water for a long time, and only in water can they eat and excrete normally, so they can't leave water. Only when it is sick, it needs to be kept dry to prevent serious illness. However, not all diseases need dry cultivation, which is usually bacterial diseases, such as skin rot and white eye disease. Dry cultivation is beneficial to its recovery.

1. Timing of dry raising: Tortoises do not have to be dry raising all the time. Generally, only after they get sick, especially after getting rotten skin, rotten armor and other diseases, in order to prevent the situation from deteriorating after the rotten parts get wet, they need to be dry raising for a period of time. When turtles are normal, they don't need to be raised dry, otherwise they will dehydrate.

2. Soak in water regularly: Because the tortoise is normally raised in water, and the water level should be around the back, dry raising means not soaking in water, but it cannot completely leave the water. As mentioned above, completely leaving the water will cause it to dehydrate, which is harmful to its health. It can be soaked once or twice a day for 20-60 minutes each time.

3. Precautions: It is necessary to keep a certain humidity during dry curing. At the same time, when soaking in water every day, it is necessary to avoid the rotten part getting wet. It is best to apply a little iodophor to the wound.
