The water temperature of parrot fish and silver arowana can be kept between 25-28 ℃, and their requirements for water temperature are similar, so breeders do not need to adjust it deliberately. They are sensitive to the change of water temperature, and breeders need to keep the temperature difference within 0.5 ℃ every time they change water. When raising parrot fish and silver arowana, it is unnecessary to heat them in spring and autumn. Because the temperature in these two seasons is relatively comfortable, they can survive normally without using heating rods. But in winter, breeders need to install heating rods to keep the water temperature above 25 ℃. Otherwise, they will have reduced activity and loss of appetite.
2. How to feed parrot fish and silver arowana properlyParrot fish are seriously robbed of food, and they need to be fed with color-enhancing feed regularly to ensure their bright body color, so breeders can choose to feed separately. When feeding food, parrot fish can be fed first, and after they are full, they will return to the middle layer. At this time, if the breeder feeds the silver arowana again, the parrot fish will not rob it again. You can also hold the food in your hand, and let the silver arowana swim to your hand and put it directly on their lips. If you don't want to feed separately, you can choose to feed some larger small fish and shrimp. Parrot fish can't swallow it, so you won't grab food with silver arowana.
