When the red-faced egg turtle is cultured artificially, its water temperature, light and food are guaranteed, and its growth is very fast. Like most turtles, red-faced egg turtles are heat-resistant but not cold-resistant, because their origin is in the tropics. When breeding red-faced egg turtles, it is necessary to control the appropriate temperature indoors to help them survive the winter. The indoor environment should be quiet, ventilated and sunny, and the water temperature should be controlled between 24-32 ℃ to ensure that the red-faced egg turtle can eat normally, and the water quality should be clean. When feeding food, the food should be fresh, non-toxic, pollution-free and not spoiled. In this way, the red-faced egg turtle will grow very fast.
2. How do red-faced egg turtles collect eggsUnder natural temperature environment, red-faced egg turtles can reproduce twice a year. The usual mating seasons are April-May and August-September, and the spawning time is December of the first year and March of the second year, respectively. Lay eggs once every spawning season, with 2-3 eggs each time. Their mating is mainly carried out in water, and their spawning time is mostly carried out at night and ends before Leon Lai Ming. Before laying eggs, the spawning ground should be cleaned in time, the excess weeds should be removed, and the sand should be loosened and leveled.
In the morning during spawning, egg nests should be searched and marked according to the crawling and burial traces of turtles in spawning grounds. Wait until evening to collect eggs. Every three days, dig sand comprehensively to find missing egg nests. When collecting eggs, gently remove sand, carefully take eggs, put them in a tray with moist sponge or fine sand forehead, cover them with sponge or sand, and transport them to the incubator for hatching.
