As long as the shape and proportion of crocodile turtle's carapace are appropriate, there are no problems such as deformation and dislocation, even if it is of good appearance. In addition to the shape of the carapace, breeders can also judge by their colors, but crocodile turtles have various colors, such as gray, brown, golden yellow, olive green, etc., so it is impossible to judge their appearance according to the uniform color. But as long as their color is uniform, and the color glossiness of the back armor is better, even if it is a better appearance.

1. Deep water culture: Crocodile turtles need to develop their carapace better in deep water, so in the case of artificial culture, they need to be cultured in deeper water. Although they can be cultured in deep water, the water level should not be too deep, and the height of the water level should be controlled at 2-3 times the height of the carapace.

2. Layout environment: To make the tortoise's carapace grow better, the breeder can put some sand and gravel in the container or put a fountain of living water, so that their carapace will have better gloss.

3. Get more sun: Although wild crocodile turtles don't need sun exposure, it is best to give them regular sun exposure in order to ensure the hardness of their carapace during artificial breeding. If conditions permit, a balcony can be built in the container, so that it is more convenient for them to climb up and bask in the sun.
