The stone golden turtle has a miscellaneous food habit, and there are many kinds of food that they can eat. Simply put, it can be divided into three categories, namely animal feed, plant feed and synthetic feed.

1. Animal feed: The animal feed is preferred by the stone golden turtle, which contains more protein and fat, and is suitable for feeding the young stone golden turtle. Common animal feeds include small fish, shrimp, red worms, lean meat, animal viscera and so on.

2. Plant feed: Stone golden turtle is not interested in plant feed, but in order to ensure balanced nutrition, breeders should feed it regularly. Plant feeds suitable for them include cabbage, rape, apples, bananas, algae and so on.

3. Synthetic feed: This feed has comprehensive nutrition and can replace staple food for a short time, but it is not easy to digest, so breeders should pay attention to the feeding amount.

The feeding frequency of the stone golden turtle is different at different stages. In the infancy, the breeder can feed it once a day, which can not only ensure adequate food, but also avoid indigestion. When they are adults, they can be fed once every 2-3 days, and the food fed can also be biased towards plant feed. Because their nutrient requirements will decrease in adulthood, breeders should also reduce the amount of animal feed.
