Pond culture: Dig ponds in low and medium tidal areas to simulate the marine environment to cultivate groupers. It is required that the water quality is free from pollution, the clarity is high, and the depth of the pool should be more than 1m. Cage culture: Put cages in the sea to cultivate groupers artificially. The place of cage culture should choose the sea area with little wind and waves and less pollution. The water temperature should not be lower than 15 ℃ in winter, and the temperature should be above 22 ℃ all year round. When breeding, we should choose lively and healthy fry.
Breeding method and propagation method of grouper 1. Grouper culture method

There are two methods of grouper culture: pond culture and cage culture. The following two methods are introduced in detail:

1. Pond culture: Pond culture is to dig out a pond in the low and middle tide area and simulate the marine environment at the bottom of the pond. It requires no pollution in water quality, high clarity and more than 1 meter in depth. This method requires a good circulating filtration system.

2. Cage culture: Cage culture is to choose a suitable sea area as a farm, put in cages and fry, and use the natural resources of the sea for culture. It is best for farms to choose sea areas with little wind and waves and no pollution, and have good shelter from the wind. The sand and rocks on the seabed should also be good, and the seawater velocity should be 0.2-0.75 meters per second. The best water temperature in the whole year is above 22 ℃, and the lowest water temperature in winter cannot be lower than 15 ℃. Pay attention to the density when stocking fry, and it is best to put 3 kg fry in 1 cubic meter. The food can be small fish and shrimp, which are cut into appropriate sizes according to the size of grouper. It is recommended to feed them once every 2 days.

2. Reproduction method of grouper

Artificial breeding parent fish or naturally caught parent fish can be selected for grouper reproduction. Male fish and female fish are raised in cages and fed according to the ratio of 1 kg body weight and 1 mg dose of methyltestosterone, which can promote estrus and mating of grouper three times a week. Waiting for the grouper's body to fade and its head to appear brown and white strips, it can lay eggs and fertilize.
