The central brocade turtle can be raised artificially, and the difficulty of raising them is not particularly great. They will have a certain adaptability to the environment, the survival rate is relatively high when breeding, usually not easy to get sick, nor easy to die. Moreover, their water is better, but also has a good cold tolerance, they are not picky eaters, so the overall difficulty of breeding them is low.
However, although they are generally easy to raise, if you want them to grow faster and be more ornamental, you also need to pay attention to the way they are raised, because environmental factors will affect their growth and appearance. For example, water temperature, light, feeding and other factors need to be paid attention to in the process of breeding.
1. Feeding: The central brocade turtle likes to eat meat when it is young, so it can mainly eat various insects, lobsters, small fish and other meat as their food. When they grow up, they prefer to eat vegetarian food, some aquatic plants and vegetables and fruits at home. Feeding can be done once every 1-2 days, and the amount of feeding can be adjusted according to their size.
2. Water quality: The water should be clean so that they will not get sick easily. In general, it is convenient to provide a filtration system in the container. If not, we need to pay attention to regular water change.
3. Water level: The water quality of the middle turtles is better, and they can live in deep water. They can be raised in slightly deeper water, three or four times the height of their shell.
4. Sunning: The central brocade tortoise also has a relatively high requirement for sunning. A sunning table can be placed in the container for them so that they can more easily climb up to bask in the sun. Note that too strong light should also be avoided.
