Rodents can reproduce only after 2 years, and different species of rodents have different maturation time. Like panda rat fish, the time for development and maturity will be shorter, and they only need about 8 months to reproduce. However, it takes 1-2 years for other species of rats and fish, and it takes more than 2 years for some improper breeding to reproduce. Although it takes a long time for them to mature, their reproduction after maturity is relatively large. Normally, they can reproduce all year round. As long as they are properly raised, they can breed almost once a month.

1. Before reproduction: Before reproduction, breeders need to prepare a separate breeding tank for rats and fish, keep the water temperature in the tank at 26 ℃, and put shelter houses or aquatic plants in the tank for them to avoid their body shape. After preparing the breeding tank, the breeder should choose the suitable parent fish for breeding, and pay attention to the ratio of male to female. The ratio of male to female should be 2: 1 or 3: 1 when rats and fish reproduce.

2. Reproduction: The reproduction process of rat fish is different from that of other fish. After estrus, they will keep chasing. If the female fish is chased by the male fish, the male fish will stick out their reproductive organs, and the female fish will hold their semen in their mouths. Then find a hidden place to lay eggs, spit out semen after laying eggs, and complete insemination.

3. After reproduction: Small fish can hatch about 3 days after fertilization. During hatching, the breeder should keep the water temperature constant at 26 ℃ and keep the water quality clean. It is best not to turn on the filter.
