When the temperature is relatively high in summer, keep musk turtles in a cool place indoors, and try not to let the water temperature exceed 28 ℃, otherwise it will seriously affect their normal growth. Because if it is lower than 10 ℃, this turtle will go into hibernation. Moreover, they are extremely sensitive to temperature changes, so it is necessary to keep the water temperature constant.

Wild musk turtles living in natural environment generally like to live in mud, so their requirements for water quality are not high. However, due to the small feeding environment and the rapid change of water quality, it is necessary to change water regularly, choose a powerful filtration system, and clean up food residues and their excreta in time to avoid polluting water quality.

The water for raising musk turtles can be pollution-free river water, lake water, reservoir water, pond water, etc. If tap water is selected, it needs to be exposed to the sun for three days before being used. Also pay attention to changing water regularly, especially in high temperature seasons. At this time, their food intake will increase, and their excrement will also increase, so they should change water frequently.
