Flame tortoises are docile in character and can be mixed with Brazilian tortoises, doughnuts, yellow-eared tortoises, red-faced tortoises and side-necked tortoises. Their living habits are similar, and they belong to the family Ze Gui and the subfamily Chicken Gui, so there will be no great contradiction when they are mixed together. But pay attention not to be too dense when breeding.

Attention should be paid when flame tortoise and Brazilian tortoise are mixed together. Brazilian tortoise has lively character and strong mobility, and may bully other tortoises. Therefore, attention should be paid to selecting Brazilian tortoise which is not much different from flame tortoise when mixed breeding. If you find biting, you should separate them in time.

When polyculture, we should first pay attention to the living habits of different species of turtles and whether they are suitable for the surrounding environment. Then it is necessary to select turtles of similar size to avoid them fighting with each other. It is best to choose some docile turtles, so that their chances of fighting are even lower. If several different varieties of turtles are mixed together, a larger turtle tank should be selected, the living space should be large, and the density of rearing turtles should be low, so as to provide them with a better living space. If conditions permit, they can be raised together from an early age, and food should be sufficient when feeding to avoid disputes between them because of food.
