If they are raised artificially, we should also pay attention to the problem of regulating the water level. They can be raised in deep water without harm. The water level should not be too shallow, at least not over their backs. However, winter is a special period, when they may hibernate, then use shallow water to breed them, the water does not need to be too deep.

When they are in the growing season, they can be raised in deep water, at least up to their back, so that their back is not exposed to the air. However, if the ocellated turtle is in the juvenile stage, it is better not to raise it in too deep water at this time, because they are prone to choking at this time, so it is more appropriate to raise it in slightly shallower water.
