After zebrafish eggs are produced by parent fish, there is no need for female fish to hatch. Under suitable temperature conditions, the eggs can hatch into small fish by themselves. The hatching time of zebrafish eggs will not last long, usually 2 to 3 days can hatch small fish. But it will also prolong or shorten the incubation time because of the different temperature. If the water temperature can be controlled at 24 C, the eggs can hatch in 2 to 3 days. If the temperature is higher, when it can reach 28 C, the incubation time can be shortened by about half. Almost 36 hours later, the fry can be born. In addition to this natural incubation, fish eggs can also be placed in incubators. In that incubator, the temperature can be kept constant, the interference of external factor is avoided, and the healthy birth of the fry is facilitate.
1. Temperature: Although zebrafish can adapt to a wide range of temperatures. But the newborn fry is very fragile, so let it grow in the most suitable temperature. Preferably, the temperature is controlled between 20 and 23 deg C.
2. Water quality: It has very low requirements for water quality. As long as it is raised in neutral water with clean water and low hardness.
3. Feeding: The newly hatched fish are not fed. After 2 to 3 days, it needs to be fed food. In order to meet the nutritional needs of young fish growth, food with high protein content such as fish worms, tubificidae and Tenebrio molitor can be used when feeding.
