Pine scale disease is a bacterial infection caused by the disease. The pathogen of this disease is Bacillus punctatus, which is a very easily transferred bacterium. Fish with pine scale disease will carry a large number of point hair bacteria. If it comes into contact with healthy fish, the bacteria will be transferred to the latter. Pine scale disease is divided into systemic type and local type of two cases, their treatment is almost the same. However, systemic pine scale disease is more serious, treatment should increase the dosage. When fish are found to be sick, they should be isolated in time. In order to avoid secondary infection of bacteria, antibiotics should be added to the water for sterilization, chloramphenicol is generally used. The fish are then washed with a mixture of 1% salt water and 1% baking soda, or bathed with a solution of nitrofurazone. Make sure you take a medicated bath for ten minutes every day. Fish with mild symptoms will get better in about a week. This disease is very troublesome to treat.
