A goldfish can grow well when its tail is rotten. Goldfish tail rot is a bacterial disease, mainly caused by water quality problems. The disease is treatable. When you find that the tail of a goldfish is rotten, you should first replace the old water many times. Then, a certain concentration of potassium permanganate solution is selected to carry out medicated bath treatment on the rotten fish. It is better to control the period of medicated bath treatment in one week. After each medicated bath treatment, anti-inflammatory drugs need to be applied to the rotten tail of the fish.

if it is rotten. The rotten tail of goldfish may be caused by changing water too frequently to stimulate the endocrine system of their body surface, or by the rapid change of water temperature and PH, which makes them unable to adapt, or by changing water too few times or by the damage of filtering equipment, resulting in a large number of bacteria and parasites in the water. In home rearing, keep changing the water every 3-4 to prevent the proliferation of germs and parasites in the water. Do not change too much water each time to avoid excessive changes in temperature and PH. This can effectively reduce the prevalence of the disease.

2. How to treat

a goldfish with a rotten tail? First, keep the fish with a rotten tail in an isolated tank to prevent it from infecting other healthy fish. Then dissolving 1 gram of furacilin or furazolidone in 10 kilograms of water, soaking and washing the diseased fish for 20 minutes, or sprinkling the diseased fish with a low-concentration dose of the medicine. Doing so can inhibit the spread of bacteria in the fish, which is conducive to the recovery of the fish. Salt is then added to the water so that the concentration of salt in the water is between 0.5% and 1%. This helps to promote metabolism and can play a role in sterilization and disinfection.   After that, 0.01% potassium permanganate solution was used to soak and wash the diseased fish for sterilization treatment. Finally, a heating rod can be placed in the water to maintain the water temperature at about 25 degrees Celsius. After careful maintenance, they can be put back into the fish tank when they recover.
