The goldfish raised at home need to be transferred indoors after entering winter. Although the goldfish have low requirements for water temperature, they can also accept lower water temperature. However, most areas in China will freeze outdoors after entering winter, so it is better to move indoors for winter.

If there is heating in the goldfish room, there is no need to install heating rods. Because the indoor temperature with heating is generally above 20 ℃, goldfish can survive well in this temperature range. If it is an indoor without heating, a heating rod can be installed. In this way, they can develop normally in winter.

In addition to water temperature, pay attention to the frequency of water change. After entering winter, the metabolism of goldfish will decrease, and breeders need to reduce the frequency of changing water. If a heating rod is installed, the water can be changed once every 3-5 days. If the heating rod is not installed, the water can be changed once every 7-15 days.

Whether goldfish need to be fed in winter depends on the water temperature they live in. If the water temperature they live in is above 18 ℃, the breeder needs to feed them normally. Because the water temperature suitable for goldfish to grow is 18-24 ℃, in this temperature range, they can eat and move normally.

If the water temperature in which goldfish live is lower than 15 ℃, it is recommended to reduce feeding. If goldfish are not actively eating, they can also stop feeding. Because goldfish's appetite and activity will decrease in low temperature environment, breeders do not need to feed any more food.
