There are many kinds of tortoises, among which the longest living tortoise is a Galapagos tortoise named Harriet, whose life span is 176 years old, which is the current Guinness record holder of the longest life span of tortoises. In addition, the average Burmese land can live about 30-50 years old, Sukada can live 30-40 years old, and the star turtle can live about 50 years old.
1. Appropriate temperature: Turtles belong to poikilothermic animals, so they have higher requirements for temperature, especially tortoises. Usually, the feeding temperature should be kept between 26-32 C, that is to say, the lowest temperature should not be lower than 26 C, otherwise there will be the possibility of freezing, the highest temperature should not be higher than 32 C, otherwise it will affect its appetite, and may also lead to its aestivation.
2. Proper illumination: Tortoises need a certain amount of illumination during their growth, which can not only raise the temperature and help their digestion, but also prevent their shells from softening. It should be noted that when the light is on, put a little water around it, so as not to dry it too strongly. In addition, you can also use UVB lights to fill it, although it is not useful to raise the temperature, but there are certain ultraviolet rays.
3. Pay attention to feeding: Generally, feed the tortoise with plant feed, such as vegetables, pasture, melons and fruits. You can also feed it with a little animal feed, but don't feed it too much. You can feed it twice a week at most. Too much is easy to cause overnutrition, which will lead to its dysplasia. Don't use too much water in plant feed, but choose high fiber plants.
