Since we are raising tropical fish, we should pay special attention to the water temperature. Unlike cold-water fish, which can adapt to a wide range of water temperatures, this fish can only survive in waters of 20-30 degrees Celsius. For some varieties with low temperature tolerance, the lowest temperature can not be lower than 16 C, while for the more difficult varieties, the water temperature should be constant at about 26-27 C. a slight change will affect their survival.
Tropical fish need to be fed regularly, usually with artificial feed and live bait, so that the fish will not be picky about food, but also can supplement a variety of nutrients. It should be noted that the number of feeding a day should not be too much, 1-2 times can be fed, when feeding should pay attention to observation, fish eat enough do not continue to feed. In addition, if you feed live bait, you must disinfect it so as not to cause it to get sick.
Change the water for the tropical fish once a week. If the filtration system is good, it is OK to change the water once half a month. Water change must use trapped tap water, which can be aired for several days in advance. The old water is pumped out from the bottom of the fish tank, the residual bait is cleaned by the way, and then the new water is poured in from the tank wall. It should be noted that the temperature difference between new water and old water can not be too large, generally around 1-2 degrees Celsius.
If a tropical fish gets sick, the first thing to do is to stop feeding it, and then change its water every other day to reduce the content of diseased words in the water. After changing water, it is necessary to properly warm up to stimulate the resistance of the fish itself, and at the same time add a little salt to change the osmotic pressure of the water body and reduce the infiltration of water. If there is no improvement, the sick fish can be fished out and put back after soaking with drugs.
