New tank water in general after 5-6 days before you can put fish. Generally, it takes 2-3 days to trap the water, and then it takes 1-2 days to oxygenate and establish a nitrification system, during which the water quality will be mixed first and then clear, and the fish can be released after the water quality is clear. However, in order to be on the safe side, it is best to put a few fish into the tank to test the water, so as not to open the tank well, leading to illness and death of fish.
1. Water trapping: After the new jar is bought and disinfected and cleaned, water can be injected into it. Generally, tap water is used for water injection, which is more convenient to obtain, and besides the residual chlorine due to disinfection, there will be no other pollutants, and fish farming is safer. After water injection, it needs to be dried for several days, which is called trapped water, in order to volatilize chlorine in the water, of course, it can also be directly injected into the trapped water.
2. Bacteria culture: After water injection, bacteria need to be cultured. The bacteria are nitrifying bacteria. Because the organic matter in the water, such as the residual feed and fish feces, will produce ammonia nitrogen after being decomposed by microorganisms, which is harmful to the health of fish, so nitrifying bacteria need to be used to treat it. The way of cultivating bacteria is also very simple, pour nitrifying bacteria into the fish tank, add a little fish food, then turn off the light and explode oxygen, until the water quality is clear, indicating that the cultivation is completed.
3. Test the water: After you have raised the water, you need to test the water with the fish in the tank. Generally, you should choose the fish with stronger skin and easy to raise. Put it into the fish tank and pay attention to it. As long as you don't get sick and don't die, you can fish it out and change the fish you want to raise after 15 days. If the fish in the tank is dead, it means that the tank is not open well and needs to be opened again.
