The life span of cherry shrimp is about 1-2 years. In a suitable breeding environment, they can live for about 18 months. The life span of female shrimp is related to the number of reproduction, if they are often allowed to reproduce when they are cultured, their life span may be shortened to about one year. If the food is not clean or the water quality is not good, they may get sick and die early.
Because their life span is not long, so their growth rate is relatively fast. Generally, after about three months, they can grow to about 2 cm and have reproductive capacity. At this point, they can be counted as having grown up. However, if the environment is not suitable for breeding, it may take 4-5 months or more for them to grow up.
Want to make cherry shrimp grow faster, should use water temperature between 20-26 ℃ to raise. They have a high oxygen consumption, so they need oxygenated water when they are cultured. In order to improve the oxygen concentration in the water, oxygen pumps can be used, and several centipedes can be planted in the tank. In order to provide them with nutrients to help them grow, they should be fed every three days or so. Fish can be used for feed, and cooked spinach can be used if not available.
