The red apple fish is relatively strong in body shape and gentle in temperament, and is suitable for polyculture with other kinds of fish. It does not have very strict requirements for water quality, and can survive in weakly alkaline and saline waters. The fish are omnivorous, relatively easy to feed, and grow at an impressive rate. The difficulty of feeding is relatively low, and novices can easily master the breeding methods.
1. Water temperature: They have a strong ability to adapt to water temperature, but in order to raise red apple fish with bright colors, it is best to control the temperature between 22-26 ℃, under which they grow best. When feeding red apple fish in breeding period, the water temperature should be adjusted to 27-28 C.
2. Water quality: They prefer weak alkaline environment, so the water quality is neutral or weak alkaline, preferably hard water.
3. Feeding: They are omnivorous fish, but prefer small animal types of bait. In feeding, you can choose Chironomid larvae, tubificidae or disinfected small fish and insects. Feeding such live bait can promote their growth. In addition to live bait, of course, artificial bait can also be properly fed to increase nutrition.
