First of all, in terms of water quality, the requirements of the bronze rat fish are relatively small. They are known as "scavengers," and they themselves have the function of purifying water quality. The pH value is between 5.8 and 8, and the water temperature is between 20 and 26 deg C. Some decorative aquatic plants can be put in the fish tank, which will be more beneficial to their lives and make the fish tank more aesthetic.
Secondly, in terms of feed selection, they are omnivorous fish, so artificial feed and frozen raw bait can be used for feeding. Choose the more convenient one by yourself.
If you want to breed, it is best to use a 60 * 60 * 30 cm tank as a breeding tank. The water temperature in the breeding tank should be kept at about 24 degrees Celsius, the pH value should be adjusted to 7.2-7.4, and the hardness should be adjusted to 9-11. Put the male and female parent fish in the breeding tank at the ratio of 1:2, and feed enough food, preferably water fleas and blood worms. They can reproduce naturally. After the parent fish spawn, they should be fished out in time to avoid the parent fish eating eggs.
