The red fox fish is also known as the round head bream, Morley's bream, they have some requirements on the size of the aquarium, water temperature and water quality in the living environment. They are sensitive, and even small changes in their environment can cause them to become irritable. Moreover, their temperament is not gentle, even very irritable, and they are not friendly to their own kind and other kinds of fish, so they should pay great attention to the isolation in the tank. They do not have a wide range of food acceptance, generally eating only vegetarian and algae. At the same time, the difficulty of reproduction is very great. So in general, the cultivation of this kind of fish is still very difficult.
The best choice for the fish tank is more than 90cm. A large number of stones and tiles should be placed in the tank for them to live in, to separate their areas and avoid fighting.
Water temperature and water quality also need more attention. The water temperature is 20-28 degrees Celsius, the pH value is 7.5-8.3, and the hardness is 10-30. Don't change the water too often, because they are very irritable, and changes in the environment around them will make them more irritable. Every time you change the water, you should pay attention not to change too much water. A fifth or a quarter of the water is better.
Attention should be paid to feeding. They are mainly vegetarian and especially like to eat algae in the fish tank. However, if they are allowed to eat algae for a long time, the water quality will deteriorate, so it is better to feed them with thinner and smaller vegetarian feed.
