Walrus is an aquatic mammal, mainly distributed in the northern hemisphere. Specifically, the main distribution areas of walruses are the Arctic region and the temperate waters near the Arctic region. Therefore, walruses live in the Arctic region, not in the Antarctic region. Walrus is most widely distributed in the Arctic Ocean, and some walruses are also found in the northern waters of the surrounding Atlantic Ocean and Pacific Ocean. The higher the latitude, the more walruses there are. There are also some walruses between 40-58 degrees north latitude in the south, but there are no walruses further south. From the national point of view, walruses are mainly distributed in Canada, Russia, Iceland, Denmark, Finland and other countries.
As mentioned above, walruses are unique animals in the northern hemisphere, mainly distributed in the Arctic region and the surrounding temperate regions. Therefore, walrus is not distributed in the Antarctic region. Although the Arctic and Antarctic are both high-latitude polar regions, the latitude is the same, but the climate of the two places is very different, the Antarctic region is very cold, and the Arctic is much higher than it. There are many kinds of animals living in the Arctic, such as walrus, seals, penguins and so on. Walrus have been living in the Arctic for a long time and have adapted to the environment here, even if they are transported to the Antarctic region artificially, they may not survive because they are not adapted.
