1. Water quality: When raising betta, it is recommended to use water that has been dried by the sun. There are some chemicals in tap water that are harmful to the growth of betta fish. But after exposure to the sun, the chemicals in the tap water evaporate, making it more suitable for betta growth.
2. Water temperature: Betta is a tropical fish that likes to grow in relatively high water temperature. Therefore, it is suggested that the water temperature should be controlled between 25-28 C. If the water is too cold, a heating rod can be used to warm the water. Try not to keep them in cold water for a long time. If the water temperature is very low, their appetite will decrease significantly.
3. Change the water: When breeding betta, it is best to change the water every 5-7 days. If the aquarium does not have a filtration system, it is best to change the water every 2-3 days. Every time you change the water, you don't need to change it all, but about one third.
4. Feeding: The betta needs to be fed every day. If you raise adult fish, you can feed them once a day. If you raise small fish, you can feed them 2-3 times a day. Do not feed too much each time, so that the fish can eat 7-8 into full. Eating too much can easily break them.
In the same fish tank, do not recommend a pair of betta. Because they are easy to fight after meeting, resulting in disability. If you must raise, it is recommended to put two fish in different fish tanks, or add a partition board in a large fish tank and put a fish on one side. So they don't meet and they don't fight.
