Although the filter system will absorb these dirt in the filter tank, it does not really decompose them, and there is no difference between the dirt in the filter tank and in the water, but the former looks cleaner.
1. Strengthen filtration: To reduce the dirt at the bottom of the fish tank, the best way is to strengthen filtration, of which biological filtration is particularly important. The dirt in the tank is mainly decomposed by heterotrophic bacteria, and then transformed by nitrifying bacteria, so that the harmful ammonia nitrogen to fish will become harmless nitrate, so the establishment of nitrification system is very important.
2. Reduce feeding: Most of the dirt at the bottom of the fish tank is residual bait and feces, which come from the food usually fed. By reducing feeding, the amount of dirt can also be reduced. There is no need to worry that the fish will starve to death, most of them are hungry and do not need to feed too much.
3. Raise clean fish: Some clean fish can also eat the dirt in the tank, such as scavengers and similar special-shaped fish. They can eat the residual bait that falls on the bottom of the tank. However, because they also excrete, they still need to deal with the excrement, otherwise it will also lead to the deterioration of the water body.
