There are many manifestations of fish tank hypoxia. The most common is the floating head, because of the lack of oxygen in the water, leading them to swim to the surface to breathe, even some benthic fish will go upstream, indicating that the lack of oxygen has been very serious. In addition, the fish will become inactive and will not eat when it is time to feed, which also indicates that the fish is hypoxic.
1. Oxygenation equipment: If the fish tank is anoxic, the simplest way is to install an oxygenation equipment, that is, an oxygen pump. The principle of oxygen pump is very simple, that is, to inject air into water, in this process, part of the oxygen in the gas will dissolve in water, thus increasing the dissolved oxygen in water. The oxygen pump does not need to be on all the time, but 2-4 hours a day is enough.
2. Change water regularly: By changing water, the dissolved oxygen in the water body can also be increased. Because in the process of changing water, some oxygen can be brought in, and the dissolved oxygen of new water is relatively high, which can also improve the overall oxygen content. Usually change the water once a week, don't change it too often, and don't change it violently.
3. Drug oxygenation: Drug oxygenation is rarely used in household fish farming, but some oxygenation agents are always available, which can really save the emergency when extreme hypoxia occurs. The commonly used oxygenation drug is hydrogen peroxide, commonly known as hydrogen peroxide, which will decompose into water and oxygen under the catalysis of some substances, and will not cause harm to fish.
