Carp is a common fish, belonging to Cypriniformes, Cyprinidae. When looking at the mouth of carp, it is not easy to observe their teeth. The teeth of carp are located in their throat, to be exact, throat teeth. In fact, the fish in Cyprinidae basically have throat teeth, and throat teeth are very developed, but the shape of these throat teeth is different. Carp also has throat teeth, which are very different from the teeth of other animals, like combs, with serrated teeth on them.
The throat teeth of carp are very important. When they eat, the carp will first cut up the food with their teeth, then chew it, and finally swallow it. When carp hunt, their throat teeth can also play a role.
Many animals have tongues. The role of the tongue is more important. For example, it can be used to taste, feel the taste, and make sound. However, carp do not belong to higher animals, they do not have a tongue structure. Although they do not have tongues, this does not mean that carp can not sense taste.
