It is difficult to raise the Indian marsh turtle. They have a low survival rate under artificial feeding conditions and are easy to refuse to eat. It is not suitable for novice feeding, but only suitable for breeders with more feeding experience.
1. Temperature: The best temperature for raising them is 26 ~ 32 ℃. When the temperature is below 16 C, they will enter hibernation. When raising them, it is better to use heating rods to ensure that the temperature is maintained above 26 degrees, otherwise accidents may occur.
2. Feeding: They are omnivorous turtles, like to eat plant bait, occasionally eat animal bait. Under artificial feeding conditions, Indian marsh turtles like to eat cucumber, tomato, banana, zucchini and other plant bait. Occasionally, they eat mealworms, maggots, earthworms and so on. They don't like commercial feed very much.
3. Water quality: They like clear water with silt. They should be kept clean by changing the water frequently or adding filters to the tank.
4. Water level: Although Indian swamp turtles belong to terrapins, they are not very good swimmers. Therefore, the water level in the container should not exceed two-thirds of the height of the turtle.
