The spotted color turtle is easy to raise and is more suitable for novices to raise. When feeding, it only needs to ensure that the temperature is appropriate, the food and light are sufficient, and the water quality is clean.
1. Temperature: The spotted turtle can adapt to the temperature of 20 ~ 30 ℃. If the temperature drops to 11 C, they will enter a state of hibernation. When raising them, in order to control the temperature, electric heating tubes can be used to raise the temperature.
2. Food: Spotted painted turtles are omnivorous turtles, but they prefer meat food. When raising them, they can feed some small fish, shrimps, lean meat and so on. We should not only feed meat, but also ensure that they are nutritionally balanced. Therefore, we should also pay attention to feeding some artificial feed or plant feed.
3. Water quality: The spotted turtle needs to live in relatively clean water. They often play, move and hunt in the water. Therefore, when raising them, they need to change the water frequently, or add a filtration system to the water, so as to ensure the cleanliness of the water quality.
4. Light: The spotted turtle likes to bask in the sun and can adapt to relatively strong light intensity. When raising them, make sure they have direct access to sunlight. If conditions do not permit, you can use ultraviolet lamps or UVB spotlights for turtle breeding. It needs to be irradiated once or twice a week for 5 to 10 minutes each time.
