1. Daily oxygenation: If you usually need to oxygenate the fish tank, you can do it for 2-4 hours every day, but in summer or continuous cloudy days, you should do it for 2 hours more, because high temperature or low air pressure will lead to a decrease in dissolved oxygen. In addition, if aquatic plants are planted in the water, oxygen should be given for 1 hour in the evening to avoid hypoxia in the water at night.
2. Oxygenation during illness: If the fish is sick, it also needs to be oxygenated. On the one hand, the environment with high dissolved oxygen is conducive to the metabolism of fish, which can promote the discharge of harmful substances, on the other hand, drugs are often needed during the disease period, and drugs will consume a certain amount of oxygen, so oxygen should be replenished.
3. Open the tank and oxygenate: If it is the first time to raise fish, it is often necessary to establish a nitrification system. As aerobic bacteria, nitrifying bacteria must grow and reproduce in an environment with sufficient oxygen. Therefore, in the process of cultivating bacteria, it is necessary to turn off the light and explode oxygen for a period of time.
