Small fish tank water generally need to be changed frequently, because the fish tank is small, so the water quality is not easy to maintain, usually three or four days to change once. However, this is not absolute, if the fish are less, the usual feeding amount is not large, you can wait for a week to change, if there is a filter device, half a month to change once is no problem.
Every time you change the water in the fish tank, you usually need to change about one fifth of it. Of course, if you change the water less frequently, you may need to change a little more, but not more than one third. If too much water is changed, although the water is clearer, the stimulation to the fish will be greater, thus affecting its survival.
The water in the small fish tank can only be changed manually. This requires a pipe. One end of the pipe goes into the tank, and the other end is placed outside. After taking a sip, the pipe is immediately removed, and the water can come out. After a certain amount of water is discharged, the prepared new water is slowly poured into the fish tank from the tank wall to avoid water quality fluctuation.
Pay attention to the water temperature when changing the water, and keep the temperature consistent before and after changing the water. If the temperature of new water is low, it can be mixed with hot water first to keep the temperature consistent with that of old water, so that there will be no great change and no stimulation to fish.
