Cap snails can lay eggs in fresh water, but they cannot hatch. Therefore, in order to breed military cap snails in freshwater, many conditions need to be met. Here's what it looks like:
1. Temperature: Army cap snails can tolerate water temperatures between 22 and 30 degrees, but for them to reproduce, it's best to keep the temperature around 26 degrees.
2. Water quality: The breeding of cap snails also has certain requirements for water quality. The breeding water of cap snail needs some calcium and PH value greater than 7. Army cap snails grown in this environment are stronger and healthier.
3. Salinity: If you want to breed cap snails, you must meet the condition of salinity. Cap snails are snails that grow in air and water, and breed in water with salinity of 1.01 to 1.02.
4. Food: Cap snails need enough food and nutrition to breed. Therefore, a piece of sunken wood covered with green algae can be placed in the breeding tank, or some fish food, shrimp food and food residues can be put regularly.
Not all cap snails can breed. Cap snails must breed when they are adults, that is, when they grow to the size of an adult index finger about four or five centimeters.
