Most small turtles can be raised up. Only some species are relatively small when they grow up, so they don't look big enough to be raised. For example, the mini musk turtle, the brocade turtle, the razor turtle, and the olecranon turtle. The smallest mini musk turtle is only 5-8 cm. The more common species, such as grass turtles, Brazilian turtles, flower turtles, they are very large adults, grass turtles carapace length of about 17 cm, Brazilian turtles up to 20-30 cm.
1. Adequate feeding: If you want to raise a small turtle, you must first give it adequate feeding. It is usually fed once a day with fresh fish and shrimp. Because the turtle is still relatively small, can not accept other food, so do not feed things. It should be noted that salt must not be contained, and grease should not be too large.
2. Change the water to sun the back: The small turtle should be raised in the water at ordinary times, but it can't adapt to the deep water, so the water level can't be too high. Generally, it's OK if it doesn't cross the back of the turtle. At ordinary times, we should pay attention to the observation of the water body, if it is turbid, it should be replaced immediately. You can also let it tan your back every day, but not more than half an hour.
3. Disease Prevention: Because the resistance of young turtles is relatively weak, they are still at risk of falling ill. Common diseases include white-eyed disease, putrid skin disease, and common cold, etc. The symptoms of morbidity are different, and the treatment methods vary widely. They cannot be fixed like the old three that treat fish.
