There are many kinds of fish, and different fish have different feeding habits, so they eat different things. Herbivorous fish generally eat aquatic plants and algae, but artificial feeding can choose terrestrial plants. Carnivorous fish mostly feed on small fish, shrimps and benthic animals, and can also be fed on animal viscera. Filter-feeding fish mainly eat plankton and krill. The omnivorous fish can eat more things, both animals and plants.
1. Feeding time: First of all, you should pay attention to the time when you feed the fish. As long as the fish are not nocturnal, the feeding time is during the day, usually after 9:00 in the morning or before 3:00 in the afternoon. In this way, it is easy to digest after feeding. If the water temperature can be kept constant, the requirement for feeding time is not high. But regular feeding is better.
2. Dosage at intervals: If the fish has not grown up, it is usually fed every day, usually two to three times. If it is an adult fish, it can be fed once every other day. Don't feed too much each time, otherwise the fish will easily suffer from enteritis, and it will be OK to feed them until they are full.
3. Precautions: According to the different levels of the water where the fish live, the choice of feed is also different. If the fish are in the upper layer, you can use some feed floating on the water surface. If the fish are in the middle layer, you should use the feed suspended in the water. For the benthic fish, you should use the feed sinking to the bottom.
