The kissing fish is a tropical fish, not a cold water fish. They can be raised with small tropical fish, but not with cold-water fish.
Kissing fish like to grow in water at about 26 degrees Celsius. If conditions permit, it is better to control the water temperature at about 26 C. In winter, we need to keep warm and not let the water temperature below 20 degrees Celsius, otherwise they will grow poorly.
1. Before changing the water for the kissing fish, you can put the water in the sun to dry. This can make the water temperature rise properly, prevent the water temperature from dropping sharply after changing water, and make the kissing fish unable to adapt to the new water.
2. In winter, pay special attention to keeping warm. It is better to put the fish tank in a heated room to avoid the low temperature of the water. If you are not confident, you can also install a heating rod in the cylinder to maintain the water temperature.
If the kissing fish gets cold, it usually has the performance of decreased vitality, lying in the tank, decreased appetite or not eating. If you find that the breeding kissing fish is cold, you need to find ways to raise the water temperature first. The more useful way is to replace it with new water at about 26 degrees Celsius, or to use heating rods to raise the water temperature. After that, it should be changed to a warm place to raise, and feed live fish food such as red worms and earthworms twice a day to provide nutrition.
