Butterfly grass and aquatic plants have certain difficulties in breeding, and are not suitable for novice breeding. It has strict requirements for water temperature, light, pH, water hardness, carbon dioxide concentration and aquarium height, and needs extra care in aquaculture.
1. Water temperature: The water temperature for raising the butterfly grass needs to be controlled between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius. Too high or too low water temperature will affect the health of the leaves, and even affect the survival of the water grass.
2. PH: Butterfly grass needs to be cultivated in an acidic environment. The PH value can be controlled between 6.5 and 7. Weak acid environment is the most suitable, but care should be taken not to be too acidic or too alkaline.
3. Hardness: Butterfly grass needs to be cultivated in soft water environment, so the water hardness can be controlled between 2 and 10 during cultivation.
4. Illumination: Under strong light conditions, the butterfly grass and water grass can grow healthily. If the light conditions are not enough, the butterfly grass will turn yellow and wither, and the leaves will become dull and listless.
5. Carbon dioxide: Carbon dioxide is a necessary condition for the survival of the butterfly grass. Butterfly grass and water plants maintain their survival by absorbing carbon dioxide. Therefore, enough carbon dioxide must be injected into the water tank when breeding.
6. Others: The height of the tank body needs to be controlled at about 45 cm for breeding butterfly grass, and the propagation is difficult, so the propagation needs to be carried out in the way of cuttings.
