Dwarf pearls and climbing pearls are not the same kind of water plant. There are certain differences in their appearance and preferred growth environment. The leaves of dwarf pearls are darker and thicker than those of climbing pearls. They all need to grow under strong light, the former can grow well in low temperature environment, while the latter needs to be maintained in warm environment.
1. The difference between leaves: The leaves of a dwarf pearl are darker and darker green. Its growth is relatively neat and its leaves are relatively deep. The leaves of climbing pearls are light green, growing in disorder and the leaves are thin.
2. Difference in growth rate: The growth rate of dwarf pearls is relatively slow in the early stage, and will increase slightly in the later stage. The growth rate of climbing pearls is relatively fast throughout the growth period, as long as the light conditions are suitable, they will quickly cover the whole growth area.
3. Difference of cold resistance: Dwarf pearl grows best in warm environment, but it can also grow in low temperature environment, as long as the water temperature is not lower than 5 ℃. Climbing pearls are not cold-resistant and need to be maintained in an environment with water temperature of 18-28 deg C.
