1. Preparation of breeding environment: Before breeding kissing fish, it is necessary to prepare a suitable breeding environment for them. Specifically, find a clean fish tank and inject some clean water with a temperature of about 26 degrees Celsius into it as a breeding tank. After that, you can also put some floating water plants in the water.
2. Put the fish into the tank: After preparing the breeding environment, you can breed. First, the male and female fish in the breeding period are put into the breeding tank according to the ratio of 1:1. Then pour a small amount of distilled water into the tank to stimulate their estrus. After oestrus, the male fish will do a courtship dance, then chase and play with the female fish, and then begin to reproduce.
3. Fishing out the parent fish: After the parent fish play, the female fish will begin to ovulate, and the male fish will also begin to ejaculate. When the eggs are fertilized in water, they form fish eggs. When the fish eggs appear, the parent fish needs to be fished out of the breeding tank and put into other fish tanks. Because kissing fish do not have the habit of protecting eggs, they may eat fish eggs by mistake.
4. Waiting for the eggs to hatch: It takes 1-2 days for the eggs to hatch. Before hatching, the water temperature needs to be strictly controlled. It is better to control the water temperature at about 26 degrees Celsius, so that small fish can hatch faster. If the water temperature is very low, the hatching speed will be very slow, or even unable to hatch.
After putting the parent fish into the fish tank, you need to provide them with a comfortable environment and do not disturb them, so that they will breed small fish. Small fish can not be fed for the first 2-3 days after hatching. After they begin to swim flat, they are fed with a large amount of migratory water.
