There are many medicines for disinfecting the fish pond. If the pond is empty, quicklime, bleaching powder, potassium permanganate, and so on are generally used. However, if there are fish in the pond, disinfecting with these medicines will not work, and they are also very harmful to the fish. Pools with fish are generally disinfected with chlorine dioxide, which is a very small amount of disinfectant with excellent effect, and basically will not endanger the health of fish.
1. Quicklime: Quicklime is the best medicine to disinfect the pond. Because it will become strong alkali when it meets water, and it can also release a lot of heat, so the disinfection effect is very strong. If it is used to disinfect, the pond without water will use 50-75 kg per mu, and if there is water, 125-150 kg per mu. After clearing the pond, it takes 1-2 weeks to release the fish.
2. Bleaching powder: Bleaching powder is one of the more commonly used disinfectants. It can be used whether there is water in the pond or not. If there is no water, 7.5-10 kg per mu should be used, diluted by adding water first, and sprinkled in the whole pool. If there is water, 20 grams per mu can be used. Like quicklime, it takes a week to disinfect the pond before the fry can be laid.
3. Povidone iodine: Povidone iodine also has a good disinfection effect. Usually, 40-100 grams are used per mu. It is necessary to dilute it to 150-250 times with water before sprinkling the whole pool. The dosage can also be adjusted according to the transparency of the water body.
