Changing water frequently can keep the water clean, promote the metabolism of map fish, increase appetite and help it grow. Therefore, it is necessary to change water regularly when breeding map fish.
Specifically, it takes two to three days to change some water and a week to change all the water for raising map fish. Before changing water, the breeder should first expose the tap water to the sun for two days to remove chlorine, and then add coarse salt to disinfect it. In addition, putting coarse salt can also promote the appetite of fish.
When changing part of the water, first use a straw to suck out the sediment in the fish tank, remove half or one third of the water, and finally pour the sterilized water into the fish tank.
When the water is completely changed, the breeder first takes out the map fish, immerses them in a solution containing 0.5% baking soda for 10 minutes, cleans the tank, and finally pours the prepared water into the tank and puts the fish back.
Although map fish do not require high water quality, clean water can promote the growth of fish. Therefore, the breeder should change the water every two to three days. It can be changed by one half or one third each time. Perform a complete water change once a week. In this way, the map fish can grow quickly.
