a new turtle arriving at home is the same as a new fish tank. The first step is to overtemperature. The so-called overheating is to let it adapt to the temperature at home, because compared with the outside, there will still be a certain temperature difference, and temperature changes are most likely to cause it to get sick. The method of overtemperature is also very simple, put the turtle into the container, slowly pour into the water of drying fruit, let it expose one third of the carapace.
After warming the new turtle, the next step is to disinfect it, usually with potassium permanganate. Prepare a container, pour in the right amount of water, then add potassium permanganate, make it into a light red solution, and then soak the turtle in it for half an hour. Generally do not use saline disinfection, which can easily lead to its body edema.
New turtles need some time to adapt slowly, so the next thing to do is rest. Rest usually takes three days or more, during which do not feed it, as long as it still has the performance of the cylinder, it shows that it has not adapted, and when it stays honestly, it proves that it has adapted.
The new turtle has been hungry for a few days, so it needs to be fed again. Generally choose earthworms or small fish to feed it, turtle seedlings can also use red worms, do not use livestock meat to feed, especially not fat. When you start to eat, you need to put the food into the water, wait 20 minutes and then see if you have eaten it, which means that the food is successful.
